The instructional videos on this page contain important information to help you with the stimulation and monitoring phase of your process.

Home blood tests

All of the blood tests we ask you to take are provided by The Doctors Laboratory based in the Marylebone area of London.  The patient reception is at 76 Wimpole St and blood tests can be done there.  Alternatively, all of our blood tests can be done using a TDL Tiny home blood testing kit, another means for you to avoid the need to attend the clinic.  This video shows how to ensure a good sample every time.  Please watch it carefully, all the way through before attempting to take the sample.

Home scanning

Ice Fertility is unique in offering a home scan service.  You will have a wireless ultrasound scanner couriered to your home before you start the stimulation drugs.  This video will show you how to scan yourself during a telemedicine session with one of our consultants.  There is no sound on this video and it is best viewed in full screen mode..

You can pause the video using the space bar if you need more time read the information.

Injections

This section contains videos showing you how to give the hormone injections required for stimulation

Ovaleap is a synthetic form of the hormone Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH).  It causes the follices on your ovaries to grow.  This video shows you how to prepare and give the injection.

Cetrotide is a hormone which stops your pituitary gland from releasing Luteinising Hormone (LH) which would cause the follicles to rupture, releasing the eggs before we are ready to collect them.  This video shows you how to prepare and give yourself the cetrotide injection.

Buserelin or Suprecur is the final trigger injection that will lead to ovulation around 38-40 hours after it is given.  It promotes the final maturation of the eggs and allows us to collect at the optimum time to collect as many eggs as possible.  This video shows you how to prepare and give yourself the Buserelin trigger injection.
