Marcia Inhorn is Professor of Medical Anthropology at Yale University.  She has written extensively on why women freeze their eggs. Much of this work arose from a study of 150 women undergoing elective egg freezing in the US and Israel.

Predicting the likelihood of live birth for elective oocyte cryopreservation: a counseling tool for physicians and patients

This study produced the data on which our fertility calculator was based.  The study was performed at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and is affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
