Ice Fertility supports International Women’s Day

Alexandra Daly, co-founder of Ice Fertility Ltd writes about how egg freezing allows women to challenge the limits placed on them by the reduction of fertility with age:

“We established Ice Fertility to provide an easily accessible platform that would allow women the choice to freeze their eggs cost effectively at a time and place that suits them. We have a bespoke, online consenting and counselling programme, as well as an advanced telemedicine service, which allows women to minimise the amount of time they need to spend attending the fertility clinic, so that they can concentrate on the important issues for them in the present.”

“Our mission at Ice Fertility is to educate women on the shifts in fertility that come with age. Unfortunately, most women are unaware of the benefits of freezing their eggs early. In fact, the younger you are when you freeze your eggs, the better the chance of having a family if you decide to use the eggs you have frozen.”

“Ice Fertility supports the theme of International Women’s Day this year to challenge gender bias and inequality #choosetochallenge. We would like to shine a light on the choices available to women today, who should not be held back by their biological clocks.”

“Research has shown that If you want to have a 90% chance of having one child you need to start trying by the age of 35, and here is the shocker, if you want to have a 90% chance of having 2 children you need to start by age 31 and if 3 is the magic number, you need to start at 28. Freezing eggs takes this pressure off your shoulders and allows you achieve your maximum potential without compromising on your career or settling for having a family with the wrong partner at the wrong time.”
